Nelson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication Design from Cuba’s Design School (ISDi) in 1998. Shortly after, he started working as a UI Designer, and as a professor of Illustration and Poster Design at his Alma Mater. He also managed event promotion and editorial design at legendary Latin American cultural institution Casa de las Americas. In 2013, he was awarded the National Design Prize by the Cuban Book Institute.
Nelson currently works as a freelance designer and as graphic design curator at Havana’s famed Fábrica de Arte Cubano.
